Mavis Becon...real person?

May 31, 2009. That was the last time I blogged. That was for a grade. This blog entry is not for a grade. What to say, what to say...

A lot has transpired since May 31, I must say. Well, I must not say, but I will. Don't go thinking that someone is behind me twisting my arm to start writing this. Although, if you think about it, that wouldn't be a very useful way to get someone to write. Have you ever tried typing one-handed? It's tough! Especially when you're used to being able to type with two hands. Think back to the day when we didn't know how to type...that was a while ago. Thank you Mavis Becon.

That was a quality computer program. My favorite exercise was the one where you're racing and you have to keep up with typing the letters that flash across your screen, otherwise the other guy will win. Is Mavis Becon a real person? Wasn't it that lady on the program; wasn't that Mavis? If she exists, I most definitly want to meet her some day. Talk about an influential person. Or even whoever it was that created the program. They changed society with something as simple as a computer program focused on improving typing skills.

Just goes to show that it doesn't take much.
